Everyone I apologize for the excessive advertisements that seem to be overpopulating my blog. I'm working on arranging it to where they will not be so noticeable in the blog content in the future.

Chevrolet Spark EV
Chevrolet is launching an all electric version of their subcompact car the Spark. GM has given the car new technologies and pep to set it apart from other cars in the segment like the new Fiat 500E and Mitsubishi i. As of yet GM hasn't said anything about the range of the vehicle but claims it will be "Among the best EV range" of the small car segment. The Spark EV will be priced under $25,000 dollars with tax incentives. Spark EV buyers will qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit which implies a sticker price in the low $30,000's. Inside the cabin sit 2-7inch LCD displays. One for the Chevrolet Mylink infotainment at the center stack. The other sits at the gauge cluster and shows the minimum, maximum, and average expected range that adjusts in real time based off of the driving conditions. Chevrolet Mylink will also be compatible with Siri on Apples iphone 4s and 5.
Chevy
will market the Spark EV as a zippy urban commuter car for drivers who
want to stay connected. It will cover 0 to 60 mph in less than 8 seconds
and include as standard a Chevy MyLink infotainment system with several
smartphone-based applications, including TuneIn global Internet radio.
"When you engineer a technology filled, all-electric mini car that goes from zero-to-60 mph in less than eight seconds, customers won't miss the gas," Mark Reuss, president of GM North America, said in a statement.
GM has invested considerable engineering resources to convert the Spark, its global minicar, to an electric drivetrain. A GM-built electric motor combined with a 560-pound lithium ion battery pack will deliver 130 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
The front and rear fascia were lowered to improve the car's aerodynamics. The battery pack sits above the rear axle, where the gas tank sets in a conventional Spark, giving the EV a lower center of gravity. Engineers added a stronger torsion beam and stiffer springs to accommodate the extra mass, said Chuck Russell, chief engineer for the Spark EV.

2013 Buick Encore
Let me get this off my chest now before I go into any greater detail about this car. This is not the Buick "equivalent" to the Chevrolet Sonic. The Buick Encore goes quite a few steps above the sonic as far as luxury and technology is concerned and delivers it in a stylish package. Putting that aside, we can focus on what the Encore really is. The Encore is a luxury crossover designed with high quality materials, versatile storage space, and new integrated technology makes this one of the most high-end crossovers on the market. Standard features for the Encore are: - Noise reducing technologies that also standard in the Buick Verano.
- Luxury features such as a leather wrapped steering wheel, premium leather seats with matching gear shifter, and an instrument panel with brushed chrome accents.
- 48.5 cubic feet of storage space, including a fold-flat passenger seat for longer items.
- Buick Intellilink infotainment system that voice activates your bluetooth enabled smartphone, SiriusXM, Pandora Radio, and Stitcher Smartradio from a easy to use 7" touch screen.
- 10 standard airbags.
- 18" chrome wheels are standard.
- Review camera system.
- Remote starter system.
- Front and rear park assist.
- Memory seating and mirrors.
- Forward collision alert and lane change monitoring.

What makes the Buick Verano so quiet?
Ever wonder how they made the new Buick Verano so quiet? well here's a list of some things GM took into account while designing it. - Super-thick acoustic laminated glass in the windshield and side windows to block wind noise from entering the cabin.
- 5 layers of thermal acoustic material in the headliner and dual-density carbon help keep stray sounds from being heard.
- Even things that don't directly affect the interior, such as hydraulic ride bushings and isolated engine cradles that reduce vibrations from entering the cabin.
- Engine and intake systems have been tuned specifically tuned for quiet performance.
- Also the brake and fuel lines have been isolated to reduce vibrations.
- Even the wheels have been designed to reduce road noise.

GM announces BI-Fuel pricing.
Starting April 19, 2012, buyers can now order their new GMC Sierra 2500 HD and Chevy Silverado HD with the bi-fuel option for for an additional $11,000. The trucks can run on both compressed natural gas and gasoline. Both come with the 6.0L Vortec V8 and a have seamless transition from one fuel to the other. These trucks get a combined CNG and gasoline range over 650 miles. This is the longest range available for CNG trucks on the market. Seeing this, it's clear to us that businesses are looking for alternative sources of fuel to meet demands.
GM resumes Camaro ZL1 production.
The 3 week delay that sent all 2012 Camaro ZL1 models back to Oshawa, Ontario plant was due to issues regarding the cars software. Now after revising their production schedule, GM plans to make only 500 of the 1,100 ZL1's ordered 2012 models. While the other 600 Camaro's will be labeled 2013 models and begin production after April.
